Is earning $1.000.000 in The Crew taking too long? You will need it if you want the fastests cars! Luckely you can actually do it in a few hours, as long as you know how!
At the start of the game the amount of “bucks” earned might seem a little slow. But once you know what to do you will earn hundreds of thousands of “bucks” before you know it! This guide will demonstrate how you can easily “grind” money from landmarks and faction missions.
[stopclear]Make money from Landmarks (level 1+)
Landmarks can be found throughout the world of The Crew. Each time you “visit” such a landmark (by pressing enter) you will receive $2000 and 50 XP. This might not seem like much but you can do them very quickly, once you know how.
At first you might try to find them and drive to them. However this will take a while and will probably mean you can only find about 6 per hour. However there is a much better way!
Step 1: Unlock a data station in The Crew
The tutorial showed you how to unlock your first data station. However you will need to find and unlock a lot more! Start by finding and unlocking some of these radar dishes.
Step 2: Use the Exploration filter in The Crew
Once you have a few data stations unlocked it is time to find some Landmarks. Go back to your map and set the filters to “Exploration”. On PC you can use the ] key to select filters.
Step 3: Fast travel to each landmark
Now it will show all landmarks within your data station (radar dish) coverage! All that is left to do now is fast travelling to each one of them. Depending on your load speed you can do about 1 per minute. Meaning you can earn 60 * $2000 per hour=$120.000 per hour! Not bad right? The only downside is that you can only do this once.
Make money by sending your friends on faction missions
Once you hit level 10 and equip your dirt spec you unlock the ability to join a faction. Only the Wolves will be available at first. Now all across the Crew little Wolve icons will start to popup (depending on how many data stations you have unlocked). These missions will have a very high cash reward but will take a lot of time. For example in New York you can find The Fugutive which gives 12342 XP and $64504 but takes more than 1 hour to complete! Now obviously we are not gonna do that. Instead we will use the “Send friends” option.
Step1 : Find a faction mission on your map
Step2: click on send Friends
Step3: Add friends
Now you can add friends to complete the race for you. The higher the level of your friend, the better your chance of success. Once you unlock the Las Vegas HQ you can spend perk points to send additional friends on the same mission, thereby increasing your chances of success.
Step 4: launch missions
When you are satisfied with assigning your friends simply press escape to go back one step and then choose Launch mission.
Step 5 be patient
Now just be patient while the race is completed.
Step 6 Collect reward
After 3 hours you will find out if your friends were successful (note your friends do not actually have to drive the mission). If the missions was a success you will receive about $12.000 bucks. This value will increase over time as you gain reputation experience from completing these missions.
Efficiency – $1.92 Million per hour spend / $53.333 per hour realtime
There are 10 missions that have a high buck payout. Two additional faction missions will unlock at each district. Depending on your rank these will each give you approximately $16.000. Meaning that by investing 5 minutes in sending friend you will eventually earn $160.000. Therefore efficiency is about €1.920.000 per hour spend on sending friends. Compare that to a 60 minute race giving you €80.000 ;).
Just realize that you can only do this about 4 times a day, if you want to get some sleep ;). Therefore you are limited too 4 x 10 x $12.000 = $480.000. After a few days your faction rank will be higher and this will increase to 4 x 10 x $16.000 = $640.000.
Additional sources of income
There are more ways to make money in The Crew. They might not all be very efficiënt in terms of time spend but it will be good to have at least heard of them…
Daily Salary – $1.000-10.000/day
Every day you log in The Crew you will receive your daily salary. This salary is based on your faction standing. The higher your rank, the higher your dialy salary.
Awards
Besides unlocking license plates awards also increase your daily salary. Awards are received for simply driving around (milestones, visiting unique locations, etc). Thanks Fr8shakerd8n
Perks
Perks can both increase your income and save you money. There are perks that allow you to gain more bucks from missions, skill challenges and stunts. There are also perks that reduce the cost of purchasing new cars by up to 30%. The same is true for upgrade parts.
Zoey:
- Misionary: 10% additional $ from missions (and xp)
- The Crew : 10% additional coop bonus $ from missions (and xp)
Omar:
- Dealer discount: -30% on all car purchase costs
Harry:
- Skills pay bills: 10% additional $ from skills (and xp)
Alita:
- Daredevil: 10% additional $ from stunts
The Crew PvP – $96.000/hour
Everytime you win a race in PvP you seem to earn about 16.000 bucks. Not bad for a 5 minute race right?
Faction missions – $80.000/hour
Besides sending your friend on faction missions, like earlier in this guide, you can also race them yourself. At my current rank a 1 hour race will give me $80.000 bucks. It might be a bit boring but if you have the time then it is definately worth checking out.
